Next Step Community Church
Downtown Brooklyn has lots of unmet needs but we feel it’s best to form partnerships with local organizations who share our passion for serving others the way that Jesus served. That’s why we are partnering with Next Step Community Church to help serve the local needs of the neighborhood.
Next Step Community Church creates environments to help hurting people heal, from providing holistic care to those experiencing or recovering from addiction to meeting the practical needs of individuals and families in Downtown Brooklyn. Current programming includes serving at their community food pantry or breakfast, visitation ministry, supporting new parents and more.

Serve Breakfast
Volunteers are needed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays to serve a community breakfast. Volunteers prep breakfast, serve breakfast, and are encouraged to interact and build relationships with the guests after serving breakfast. Volunteers are also needed to clean and organize the breakfast space after the meal is over.

Food Pantry
On Saturday mornings, volunteers are needed to serve at the Community food pantry which provides quality food to restore health and dignity for families in need. Volunteers help distribute grocery items to guests from the community.

Stock Pantry
On Friday evenings, volunteers stock grocery shelves at the community food pantry. The community food pantry provides quality food to restore health and dignity for families in need. Your help on Friday evenings will ensure a smooth experience when families and individuals arrive on Saturdays to shop at the pantry.

Support New Moms
Support new parents coming into our space by providing them with prayer and resources for their parenting journey! On the first Saturday of each month, volunteers help distribute care packages to new and expecting moms who have been referred from shelters, hospitals, social workers and friends.
